What we are looking for:
Americas Finance Team is looking to hire a talented senior accountant. The role and title may be flexible depending on experience level. The salary listed below is for an Accountant, and may not be accurate depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
Conduct monthly/quarterly/annual book closing including (1) posting month-end journal entries and (2) preparing balance reconciliation
Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual consolidation package and variance analysis, which are reported to HQ (Seoul, Korea)
Review and approve payment requests including invoice, corporate credit card and reimbursement transactions
Reconcile intercompany transactions & balances
Reconcile physical assets to book record
Implement and maintain entity-wide or finance-specific systems/tools (Kissflow, SAP, Concur, etc)
Assist with annual budgeting and conduct budget vs actual analysis
Respond to financial statement audit/review and tax filings by accounting firm
Handle technical accounting matters with accounting firm and HQ
Supervise any significant financial transactions (i.e. lease agreement or asset capitalization)
Manage vendor master including their tax form
Prepare/review daily cash balance report and bank reconciliations
Conduct vendor payment through SAP or bank website
Work on internal procedures/controls in relation to procurement, financial reporting and treasury as required by HQ SOX
Communicate and provide accounting guidelines to operational teams to ensure they stay compliant with internal policies and procedures
Act as gatekeeper for protecting company assets and seek cost savings opportunities
Perform ad hoc tasks as necessary
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
3-5 years of experience in accounting at private companies or audit at public accounting firms
Proficient knowledge of using Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word
SAP experience is a huge plus
Team player and detail oriented
Fast learning, agility and adaptability to change
Highly organized and diligent, with excellent time-management skills and can-do attitude
Korean bilingual is a huge plus as the candidate is asked to communicate directly with HQ
