Journeyman Electrician Job Description:

Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician to undertake tasks related to electrical systems within our company. The position includes but is not limited to, installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment, wiring, and other similar systems in our buildings. Because this job comes with high risks, our electrician needs to be responsible and pay great attention to safety precautions. Our ideal candidate is experienced in different electrical devices and systems and can inspect, diagnose, and fix malfunctions in a variety of settings. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities to perform each duty proficiently. The incumbent coordinates all electrical site construction activities and assists all electrical field personnel as required to successfully complete the solar project on schedule and works diligently to build a safe, high quality, profitable solar project.
Qualifications:
· (5) years’ experience in constructing solar and other electrical projects
· Journeyman or higher electrical licensing
· NABCEP Training, OSHA 30
· A high school diploma or similar education is required.
· Valid driver’s license.
· Ability to travel.
· Knowledge of different electrical systems, blueprints, power generation, and similar.
· Ability to use electrical and hand tools and craft electrical documents and blueprints.
· Understanding of safety procedures and legal codes and guidelines.
· Must be able to work independently or in a team setting.
· Must understand wire pulling equipment and power benders.
· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
· Good time management skills.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ability to travel.
· Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment, wiring, and green energy systems.
· Test electrical devices and provide on-spot solutions.
· Use tools such as voltmeters, amp meter, ohmmeters, data logger, IR scanning, and insulation testing(megger) to detect issues.
· Perform preventive and routine maintenance on electrical systems and warn management about potential hazards.
· Install safety components and connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks.
· Follow electrical codes, blueprints, and standards for ultimate efficiency and safety.
· Document all your actions, including testing results and steps taken to resolve issues.
· Ability to work under pressure.
· Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control.
· Communicate with customers and coworkers in a respectful, professional manner.

Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and range of vision necessary to safely perform job functions.

Client Relationship and Management
· Provides excellence in the management and delivery of the project, in-line with the client's expectations.
· Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees.
Planning
· Maintains electrical construction schedule, identifies upcoming issues, and solves problems.
· Works with Project Managers and Mechanical lead to order materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process.
· Understands the project plans and specifications.
· Prepares schedules and supervises completion of a final electrical punch list.
· Ensure site prep work is executed as per contracts, design, and specification.
· Inputs into the execution of overall construction plan.
· Builds and maintains relationship with local AHJ as needed.
Leadership
· Directs, guides, and coaches’ Electrical team to ensure activities on site are understood and following established processes through quality checks.
· supports employee development and growth.
· supervises all electrical apprentice construction activities as needed.
· Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices, and rectifies job site hazards.

· Coordinates all electrical field functions including scheduling of any required outages.
