Position Overview Immediate full-time position available for a CAD Designer / Drafter preparing civil and mechanical design drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D program for water and wastewater utility projects, including distribution and transmission system pipelines, treatment facilities, pump stations, and other municipal utility infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will work in our Orlando, Florida office supporting design projects throughout the state of Florida.
General Responsibilities
- Perform CADD design assignments under supervision and direction of an experienced engineer and senior designer.
- Develop complete construction drawings.
Typical Projects
- Collection system inspections, condition assessment and rehabilitation;
- Design of water, wastewater and reclaimed water pipelines;
- Wastewater pump station rehabilitations and upgrades;
- Water and wastewater treatment process design and modifications;
- Potable and reclaimed water storage and pumping facilities design;
- Groundwater wells, rehabilitation of existing wells, and well abandonment.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, CAD training and certifications.
- Working knowledge and experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D is a plus
- General construction knowledge along with ability to read and interpret construction drawings desired. Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations required.
- Problem solving, organizational and PC skills are required.
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, professional attitude, good communication skills, and a team player.
