The Learning Center of Palo Alto is a small, nonprofit, play-based early childhood education program nestled in a beautiful Palo Alto neighborhood. We are a place where children and teachers develop a love of learning through thoughtful play and exploration in a respectful and compassionate environment. We offer outstanding ratios with three teachers in each classroom with a maximum of 10 toddlers and 15 preschool-aged children per day.
We are looking for individuals to provide a warm, nurturing, play-based, and child-centered program. Our program focuses on an emergent curriculum, fosters a connection to nature through play-based learning, and provides a flexible rhythm where children freely flow from the indoor classroom to the outdoor classroom during significant portions of each day.
At The Learning Center, our outstanding educators are the heart and soul of our program. We select them for their exceptional skills in working with children of specific age groups and their unwavering dedication to the well-being of the children entrusted to them. Our TLC teachers are not just passionate about early childhood education, and they are committed, creative, reflective, and informed professionals. They are self-starters who value collaboration with each other, parents, the children, and the director to nurture the entire TLC community's growth and development. Your role here is not just a job. It's a vital part of our community.
