DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Loading or unloading of mainly protein products that might include manually, on/off pallets.
- Moving cases of product using scan technology and operating equipment to move cases or pallets of product between unloading, loading, processing, and storage areas
- Palletize and shrink-wrap freight while loading/unloading and checking equipment for safety purposes.
- Accurately document information with scan technology to provide traceability for protein products being received and shipped.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of warehouse and dock areas.
- Receive loads using scan technology to verify quantity, product, and safety compliance with facility and USDA requirements.
- Operate appropriate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and orderly manner to reduce accidents and injuries.
- Must have verbal and written communication skills to communicate with co-workers, customers, vendors, and visitors.
- Loading and unloading product deliveries as required
- Record any necessary item information into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- As a Warehouse Specialist, your role is crucial in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our warehouse operations. - Ensure warehouse computers and equipment are used in a safe and professional manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. - Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write
- Ability to organize and keep a tidy warehouse
- Certification on material handling equipment or ability to become certified.
- Experience in WMS scan technology
- Experience in meat identification and culinary is a plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- For this role, a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred. Previous warehouse experience and/or training is also preferred, with material handling equipment experience being a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:
- Ability to lift and move heavy boxes up to 85#’s when needed.
WORK ENVIORNMENT:
- As a Warehouse Specialist, you must be prepared to work in various climate environments, ranging from freezers to cooler, dry areas. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to adapt to different working conditions.

WORK HOURS:
This is a full-time day shift position that requires some flexibility in work hours. You should be prepared to work varying schedules, including weekdays and some holidays.
