We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team full-time as a Procurement Coordinator. This role will involve working closely with the Director of Operations to develop procurement strategies, manage inventory, and oversee quality control. If you have excellent organizational skills, can handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, and are comfortable working with your hands, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement
- Work with the Director of Operations to develop and establish long-term procurement goals for each assigned vendor. Vendors will be assigned when product development is at the sample approval stage.
- Maintain good working relationships and engage in friendly, approachable conversation with each vendor.
- Oversee the Quality Control (QC) process for assigned vendors.
- Work with the Operations team to keep pricing up to date across inventory management platforms as needed.
- Communicate day-to-day vendor needs during weekly 1:1s to discuss any roadblocks and assess vendor relationships quarterly.
- Procure components needed for production. Maintain minimum /maximum inventory levels to ensure on-time order fulfillment
- Keep accurate open-order and inventory reports, updating production status on a daily basis.
- Manage incoming purchase orders from assigned vendors to ensure all components, supplies, and equipment are above minimum levels for on-time production and fulfillment.
- Communicate with the Shipping / Receiving Coordinator on all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Work with the Director of Operations to plan necessary inventory counts.
- Oversee QC process
- Work with the Design team and Studio Partners to ensure QC guidelines are aligned.
- Create clear QC manuals using Google Docs for the Production Team and Shipping / Receiving Coordinator.
- Update QC guidelines as necessary and deploy them to relevant internal teams.
- Communicate clearly and openly with vendors about QC issues that arise. Ensure they have all the necessary information and tools to correct the issues. Work closely with vendors and internal teams to create solutions to solve the root of the problem.
- Oversee QC process, ensuring all parts are suitable for shipment and assembly. Schedule necessary repair and replacement with the vendor.
- Communicate relevant information regarding assigned vendors with internal teams.
- Keep the Director of Operations and Production Manager updated on any delays as early as possible to ensure the clients get accurate and timely updates when needed. Prioritize receiving late components with the Shipping / Receiving Coordinator.
- Work with the Production Lead to ensure the Production Team has all the details they need regarding components from assigned vendors.
- Work with the Director of Operations to pinpoint product update implementation dates as needed.
- Work with internal teams on special projects as they relate to assigned vendors.
- Work with the Sales and Brand Team when needed to procure pieces for photoshoots, showroom installations, exhibitions, etc. (These will be entered as an order but may need special attention.)
Operations
- Work with the Shipping / Receiving Coordinator to maintain an organized production studio and warehouse space.
- Ensure all items related to assigned vendors are labeled correctly, and other team members have a location guide.
- Prepare for large incoming shipments.
- Assess space usage every quarter with the Director of Operations to maximize storage.
- Work with the Design and Operations Assistant to produce BOMs for custom work and order the necessary components in advance of their due date.
- Work with the Director of Operations to maintain accurate inventory levels at the studio, warehouse, and 3rd party storage locations
General
- Keep studio organized
- Organize inventory, samples, and inventory bins.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, creative work environment
- Experience with wiring, electrical work, or furniture building is a plus but not required
- Experience and comfort with hand and power tools
- Ability to learn new skills quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 to 50 pounds multiple times a day
- Hand dexterity
- Ability to stand 90% of each work day while performing job duties and responsibilities

Studio + Compensation
- This is a full-time position based in Gowanus, Brooklyn
- 40 hours/week. Our studio hours are Monday - Friday from 9 am to 6 pm
- $60,000 - $80,000 annually salary based on experience
