Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sales/Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team. This dual-role position requires a dynamic individual who can effectively manage sales inquiries and customer relationships while also handling shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to multitask.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing information about our glass products and services.
- Assist customers with product selection, pricing, and placing orders.
- Maintain and update customer accounts and records in our CRM system.
- Prepare and follow up on sales quotes and proposals for retail/walk-in customers
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of orders.
- Track and report sales metrics, customer feedback, and market trends.
Shipping & Receiving Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Maintain inventory records and manage stock levels to ensure product availability.
- Coordinate with the shop to prepare and package glass products for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers and schedule pickups and deliveries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in sales, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, shipping, and receiving, preferably in the glass or construction industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM and inventory management software.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and operate warehouse equipment safely.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
