CNC Programmer Responsibilities:
- Produce and refine documentation for both new and existing products based on engineering blueprints.
- Analyze and interpret blueprints and technical data to determine optimal tooling, machining methods, and operational sequences.
- Innovate and implement new CNC programs, focusing on enhancing tooling, machining processes, and fixture capabilities.
- Develop and standardize machining processes to surpass company benchmarks in cost efficiency, quality enhancement, and client delivery.
- Collaborate closely with the shop floor, providing support to ensure the execution of quality programs and parts, including monitoring first articles of new programs, aiding in setups, offering tooling guidance, and troubleshooting issues.
- Stay abreast of emerging machining techniques and tooling advancements to drive continuous process improvement.
- Champion safety initiatives and devise machining practices that prioritize safety, streamline setup processes, and minimize non-conformances.
- Generate G-Code programs efficiently for part manufacturing utilizing GibbsCam and NX CAM software.
- Drive ongoing enhancements to manufacturing processes to surpass client-set goals, including safety, delivery schedules, and quality benchmarks.
- Uphold a secure work environment and adhere to company protocols.
- Requirements:
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Expertise in GibbsCam, Solidworks, and G&M Codes.
- Competence in program interpretation, setup, and operation of CNC lathes, live tooling lathes, and 4-axis mills with Fanuc or Mitsubishi controls, along with NX CAM proficiency.
- Additional Skills:
- Demonstrated mastery in CAD/CAM software, encompassing model manipulation and machine template generation.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering blueprints, including a sound grasp of GD&T principles.
- Ability to fine-tune speeds, feeds, tooling, and analyze code programs M and G.
- Flexibility to undertake additional duties as assigned.
CNC Programmer Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma and 5+ years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering with 1+ year experience
