Job Title: Injection Molding and Blow Molding Supervisor
Reports To: Production Manager

Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the production operations of an assigned department(s) in support of the overall goals of the organization and our customer.
Main Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
- Maintain the highest safety and environmental standards and act as a role model in supporting EH&S policies and regulations.
- Perform start of shift walk through with previous/ oncoming supervisor.
- Conduct start-up meetings and daily walk through with leads.
- Achieve required daily production goals and maintain targeted inventory levels keeping required levels of Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE)
- Maintain production schedule and run as planned per Pattern Wheel/Scheduling Board system.
- Report production results in a timely and correct manner.
- Support the Certified Team Training program by ensuring training is completed timely, effectively, and consistently to keep the Versatility Matrix updated and accurate.
- Conduct Team Member training as necessary.
- Ensure total preventive maintenance (TPM) card system is sustained.
- Maintain good quality parts by enforcing low PPM.
- Ensure standard work instructions (SWI’s) are followed.
- Ensure MATTEC production system is utilized correctly to accurately record production data.
- Ensure Poke Yokes are in good condition.
- Secure first part approval (FPA) and layered process audits (LPAs) for each production run.
- Perform LPAs as required.
- Problem solve/ countermeasure utilizing practical problem solving (PPS) system when required. Report out on A3 Format (problem solving guide)
- Coordinate and escalate various maintenance/processing issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with Process Engineer/Process Technicians start-up procedures and repairs.
- Schedule mold changes appropriately based on production schedule.
- Develop action plans for shortage reports and escalate any customer shortage risks.
- Enforce the use of Andon system to indicate and alert needed support.
- Keep track of key performance metrics, 5S, quality issues, safety issues, etc. and use this information in daily meetings with employees to explain performance, need for improvement and drive accountability.
- Develop an effective and responsive team that meets the expectations of their roles.
- Demonstrate effective leadership and team management skills, that result in motivating and aligning the production team with production goals, fostering collaboration, and enhancing teamwork. This should result in week over week improvements in KPIs (OEE, 5S, etc.).
- Ensure adherence to company policies including meeting Attendance Policy expectations for supervisors.
- Timely conduct employee coaching and disciplinary actions for violations to company policies.
- Timely and accurately review and close employee timecards ensuring compliance with deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
· High school diploma or GED or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience:
· Minimum of 3-5 years’ supervisory experience in manufacturing. Automotive preferred
· ISO 9001 and/or IATF16949 experience preferred.
· Proven leader with ability to motivate teams and drive accountability.

Computer Skills:
· Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and in the use of e-mail, web browser applications.
Mathematical Abilities:
· Intermediate-advanced math skills.
Analytical or Reasoning Abilities:
· Strong analytical, planning skills and critical thinking ability required with orientation for continuous improvement.
· Ability to understand and follow written technical procedures/instructions.
· Ability to effectively prepare business and technical documentation such as procedures, reports, presentations, etc.
Communication Skills: (Writing, Foreign Language, Reasoning)
· Ability to read, write and speak English
· Highly effective, articulate communication skills (verbal & written) with strong interpersonal effectiveness and the ability to work with all levels in the organization and across cultures.
· Bilingual English-Spanish preferred

Physical Requirements:
· 90% will be spent on the production floor completing work related to the position while the remaining 10% of the time will be spent doing desk related work on a computer and working with basic office equipment (PC, fax and printer, phones)
· Must be able to lift 25 pounds individually and team lift 50 pounds.
· Must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others. Must wear all personal protective equipment where required.
