Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager to lead and manage projects related to civil, water, wastewater, and environmental construction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to perform under minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Establish and monitor project scopes, schedules, work breakdown structures, and planning assumptions. Evaluate and manage scope, budget, and schedule changes.
- Resource Management: Develop resource assumptions and collaborate with superintendents and the management team to allocate resources effectively and meet project deliverables.
- Priority Setting: Establish project priorities and adjust resources as needed to achieve project goals.
- Stakeholder Roles: Define roles and responsibilities for all project stakeholders and ensure they are met.
- Performance Monitoring: Review project performance metrics and take corrective actions to address deviations from the plan.
- Team Integration: Integrate the work of project team members and partner with functional owners to ensure resource allocation and project execution align with deliverables.
- Issue Resolution: Address performance issues promptly and effectively to keep projects on track.
- Execution Plans: Develop and manage comprehensive project execution plans, including risk, communications, change control, and quality plans.
- Periodic Assessments: Conduct periodic project assessments and communicate status updates with stakeholders and customers.
- Communication: Maintain frequent communication with customers, management, and project personnel to ensure alignment and progress.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of ten years of relevant project management experience.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- High degree of organizational skills and the ability to develop processes and procedures.
- Strong understanding of construction and engineering functions and adaptability to new processes.
- Proficient in data automation and standard word and data processing programs.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with a diverse array of personnel.
