Associate of Community Relations and Program Design
New York Cares exists to turn passion into action, leverage resources through partnership, and create long-lasting change across New York City. On the surface, the Community Relations, and Program Design (CRPD) team creates projects to engage volunteers across the 5 boroughs. Below the surface, the CRPD team has a laser focus on the priorities of nonprofits and schools in all five boroughs as well as the collective potential of caring New Yorkers. The team leverages exceptional relationship management and strategic planning skills, to design innovative, impactful programming that engages thousands of volunteers annually.

Cultivate a design process with full-cycle MEL practices, informed by all stakeholder feedback.

Influence a culture of innovation, strategy, and execution across the entire organization through intentional collaboration with other teams.

The Associate of CRPD reports to the Officer of CRPD and does not directly manage any direct reports. The Associate manages dozens of relationships with community partners, hearing their priorities and co-designing volunteer experiences from them. The Associate will collaborate internally as well as externally to innovate projects and solutions.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Manages a portfolio of community partnerships including schools and nonprofits from all five boroughs.

Engages in co-design processes both internally and with community partners designing volunteer programming for the calendar, large-scale single-days of service, and corporate engagements.

Engages in quarterly site-visits with community partners to ensure holistic MEL for programming as well as innovative program design.

Reporting inclusively and proactively in internal meetings for fundraising opportunities, data-driven wins, and opportunities for growth.

Manage logistical project elements including but not limited to scheduling and leading team meetings, sourcing and reporting on data, updating projects information and details in Salesforce and Asana.

Work multiple days in the field weekly in addition to two days in the office with our flexible hybrid schedule.

1-2 years professional work experience ideally with a nonprofit, school, or government agency

Exceptional relationship management skills.

Solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving in a collaborative environment.

Strong prioritization skills, even with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Highly organized in task-management.

Enthusiasm for doing field work, getting to tour this great city visiting our community partners.

Knowledge about New York City boroughs, communities, and government agencies (or enthusiasm to learn).

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).

Experience with project management systems, ideally Asana.

The salary for this role is $58,400.
