As MEI USA continues to evolve and grow our business across North America, we are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as a Customer Technical Trainer. You will train our customers on our lens edging machines.
An ideal candidate will must be knowledgeable in their field of expertise and possess solid technical, mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting aptitude. You will use our technical training programs and help others develop skills that will make them better professionals.
Customer Technical Trainer Responsibilities
- Follow training schedules and classroom agenda and determine course content according to objectives.
- Prepare training material (presentations, worksheets etc.), execute training sessions, webinars, and workshops in groups or individually.
- Keep track of data on completed courses, absences, issues etc. and periodically evaluate the results of training programs.
- Keep informed of and maintain proficiency with all company products and cooperate to maintain the order of the machines, equipment, and material in the training area.
- Conduct Training Classes, Basic and Advanced, related to all MEI products to clients based on the activity calendar, training in-house, or online.
- Report to and support the Customer Technical Training Supervisor to update the training guidelines, support with Help Desk activities, and gather all customers' needs to evolve training programs according to current needs.

Education and other skills:
- Hight School Diploma required
- Professional certification, such as CPTM (Certified Professional in Training Management) is preferred; or 2-3 years of related training experience in some electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and troubleshooting.
- Hands on experience working with axis motors, ball screws, belt drives and calipers.
- MS Office suite and ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Travel 20% to participate in Trade Shows and attend initial installations at customer facilities.
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills with time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools in technical subjects
- Experience as a technical trainer is highly preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Requires frequent lifting and carrying of up to 10 pounds, recurrent lifting of up to 20 pounds.
