Position: Broadcast Set Designer
Position Description and Responsibilities: Develops organized CAD models, renderings, construction drawings and drafting package that include floorplan, elevations, sections, 3D modeling, and details for the construction team.
Works with graphics, technical, and fabrication teams to ensure feasibility of design.
Designs broadcast studio sets and branded environments.
Develops research, mood boards, conceptualization, and sketches to stablish a design process within the set design.
Sources, develops, and manages outside vendors as needed to execute on creative ideas, finishes, colors, and textures.
Determines and selects finish materials, colors, and textures, which may include gathering samples, and design solutions.
Collaborates with various internal and external teams and stakeholders.
Assists the Scenic Fabrication project management team in building strong client relationships.
Participates in creative team brainstorming and project kickoff meetings.
Possesses design skills to drive technical scenic design projects from inception to completion.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
2+ years of professional design experience within the broadcast set or scenic fabrication industry.
Bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture and/or relative experience.
Exhibits a thorough understanding of finish materials and color theory.
Proven experience in implementing lighting design and possess experience in LED implementation.
Proven experience modeling and rendering with 3D visualizing programs, especially skills with Unreal Engine.
Exhibits ability to produce virtual and real set design including technical construction drawings.
Prior experience with fabrication or scenery construction.
Exhibits general knowledge of A/V and truss structure.
Skilled in use of computers and Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Outlook, Word, SharePoint, One Drive).
Fluent in English; Spanish a plus
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Able to work collaboratively and independently.
Change agent; creative and adaptable when facing challenges

Pay: $51,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
