Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assembler
- Reads work instructions and follows production drawings and sample assemblies
- Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, cements, press fits or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place
- Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets
- Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches to assemblies
- Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics
- Performs online go-no-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production
- Follows the documented management system, including the Quality Policy. Further, the employee is required to understand how their job can affect customer satisfaction and/or product quality.
- Can easily move from one functional area to another to work with minimal training or supervision
- Cross trained in 5 to 7 areas of production in addition to home department
- Can perform as a temporary back up person to the lead over the area when needed
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
Recommended Minimum Position Qualifications
- Basic math skills
- Ability to recognize and distinguish colors
- Detail oriented with good problem solving skills
- Must be able to know and recognize the difference between a variety of hand tools
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Professional Requirements:
- Ability to manufacture products from work instructions without assistance
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
