Essential Role and Responsibilities
Temporary Maintenance Engineer is under general supervision performs maintenance, repair and/or replacement of all mechanical, electrical, and hospital equipment for hospital buildings, medical buildings and subsidiary buildings on the hospital complex. All the mechanical, electrical, fire safety and building maintenance systems must be operating at optimum levels. The Temporary maintenance engineer is in charge of observing these operations and keeping them functional.
essential duties
- Ensuring systems in the hospital complex are kept in good repair by checking, servicing and performing preventive work as required.
- Services air conditioning, refrigeration, dishwashers, instrument washers, air compressors, fans, pumps, motors, garbage disposal, food mixers, laundry equipment, heating and ventilation systems and devices, and steam heat exchangers.
- Makes minor plumbing and electrical connections on equipment installation or repairs.
- Does minor repairs on buildings such as screens, windows, floors, ceiling, walls, roofs, doors and cabinets.
- Paints equipment and mechanical rooms as necessary.
- Ensures that established efficiency and safety targets are met.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
