The School Furniture Mover is responsible for the safe and efficient relocation, installation, and removal of furniture and equipment within the school premises. This includes classrooms, offices, common areas, and event spaces. The role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized environment.

Hours: 7:30am to 5:00pm
Salary: $15 Per Hour
Key Responsibilities:
Furniture Relocation: Move, arrange, and reposition furniture such as desks, chairs, tables, bookshelves, and cabinets within classrooms, offices, and other areas as needed.-
Event Setup and Breakdown: Set up and dismantle furniture and equipment for school events, meetings, and activities, ensuring timely and accurate arrangement according to specifications.

Inventory Management: Keep track of furniture and equipment inventory, noting any damages or items in need of repair or replacement.

Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure safe handling and moving of furniture. Use appropriate tools and equipment to prevent injuries and damage.

Maintenance and Repairs: Perform minor repairs on furniture and equipment as needed. Report major repairs or maintenance needs to the Facilities Manager.

Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas where furniture and equipment are kept. Ensure that all items are stored safely and in an orderly manner.

Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other maintenance and facilities staff to ensure efficient operations and support the needs of the school community.

Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with school staff, faculty, and students while performing moving tasks. Address any concerns or special requests promptly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more) safely and repeatedly.-
Experience: Previous experience in moving, furniture handling, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
