Dining Room Manager

Duties:
- Oversee the daily operations of the dining room, ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Supervise and train dining room staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bussers
- Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies for improving customer service and increasing revenue
Requirements:
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant industry, preferably in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on providing a positive dining experience
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to ensure smooth operations
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Skills:
- Restaurant: Familiarity with restaurant operations, including front-of-house, prefer knowledge if Opentable & Toast POS
- Supervising: Experience in supervising staff members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
- Team management: Ability to lead a team effectively, delegate tasks, motivate employees, resolve conflicts and be part of a team.
- Food service: Proficient in providing excellent customer service in a food service environment
- Food handling: Adherence to proper food handling and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe dining environment
- Shift management: Experience in managing shifts, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and ensuring smooth operations
