Responsibilities
- Drive sales by cultivating and maintaining relationships with customers.
- Work closely with Design and Merchandising to identify market needs/trends and plan customer programs.
- Work closely with Product Development, Design and Sourcing to implement customer programs.
- Develop, maintain, and strengthen multi-level relationships with customers and company personnel to ensure optimal execution of plans.
- Maintain close working relationships with Sourcing and Inventory Control staff of company to understand their job responsibilities and requirements to improve interaction between Sales and customer.
- Partner with senior management to meet company sales goals, ensure total quality management, maintain timely deliveries, proper inventory levels and foster vendor relationships.
- Work with management to streamline product development process and procurement to maximize efficiencies and meet profit goals!
- Full P&L responsibility; accountable for all sales, margins, expenses, and customer allowances.
Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3+ years Merchandising experience.
- Minimum of 3+ years selling experience in the home textiles industry or fashion apparel. Preferably selling experience in bath, bedding or Home Décor soft product line.
- Must have a successful record of closing the deal, building a business, and exceeding sales targets.
- E-commerce sales experience is a plus!
- Proven record of success in the management of an organization where there have been substantial profitable sales increase.
- Excellent analytical skills required.
- Excellent people skills must be flexible.
- Organized, focused individual who understands how to prioritize.
- Effective communication skills both oral and verbal
- Must be enthusiastic about consumer and product.
- Must be firsthand in his/her approach to work.
- Domestic travel required.
