Line cooks are responsible for preparing food and ensuring the quality of the dining experience for restaurant customers. Their duties include:
- Food preparationUsing kitchen tools to prepare ingredients like meats, seafood, poultry, and vegetables
- CookingFollowing recipes to cook food using various methods like grilling, frying, and sautéing
- PlatingCompleting dishes and presenting them to meet executive chef standards
- CleanlinessMaintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen environment to follow health and safety guidelines
- CommunicationWorking well with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure meals are executed smoothly
