Construction Project Manager
We have been building high quality custom residences in the Southern California area for over thirty years.
We are looking for a Construction Project Manager with knowledge of custom home building to manage projects in the Los Angeles area, including Malibu and Calabasas.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of construction experience, strong technical skills, and a proven ability to run residential jobs in the million-dollar budget range.
The candidate will provide management, establish project objectives and policies, maintain liaison with the client and monitor construction and financial activities through the direction of the General Contractor.
Duties include:
- Review and understand construction documents including plans and specifications
- Ability to estimate projects
- Establish and monitor project budgets, performance and contract compliance
- Create, update and manage the project schedule.
- Generate and submit RFI’s to obtain clarifications and answers to questions, contradictions, conflicts, inadequacies and other issues represented by the plans, specifications and other documentation
- Manage the procurement process including labor, materials, equipment and subcontractors
- Manage financial aspects of the contract
- Prepare and maintain accurate forecasting
- Provide regular status reports
- Candidate should be familiar with either self-performing or subcontracting the following: Site grading, excavation, backfilling, dewatering, pipe installation (above and below ground), concrete work, reinforcing steel, masonry, electrical, structural steel, instrumentation and control systems.
Qualifications: Minimum 3-5 years in CUSTOM RESIDENTIAL construction project management
Bachelor's degree preferred (BA/BS)
- Can identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
- Ability to read blue prints and specifications required for projects
- Solid communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to establish timelines and budgets
- Detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment
- Able to implement and enforce safety & health protocols and procedures
- Must have computer skills with Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Outlook, Word and MS Project
- Must have a valid and non-restrictive driver’s license
