Job Posting:
As the Post Closing Specialist you will provide support and assistance in the day-to-day functions of the Collateral, Post Closing Validation, Shipping and Purchase Clearing teams to ensure Fairway meets warehouse bank and investor delivery timeframes during high volume periods throughout the month. You will also facilitate and participate in special projects as assigned by the Post Closing leadership team.

What you will do:

Manages a variety of post closing processes for a specialized pipeline of priority branches, product types and/or investors.

Provides top tier level of customer service, including fast and accurate responses via telephone, email and instant message to a specialized pipeline of priority branches and/or investors.

Prepares post closing package for imaging into Encompass as well as completes data entry to initiate start of post closing process

Performs post closing audit to ensure all required documents are in compliance with investor and agency guidelines.

Resolves any audit findings to prepare loan for delivery to investor by requesting corrections to documents or missing documents from other parties.

Performs insuring audit for all government loans to determine if all required documents are available and completed correctly

Prepares post closing package for delivery to the investor/HFA, meeting required deadlines for loan delivery

Interprets investor/HFA communication regarding file deficiencies

Communications with internal and external parties to obtain curative documents and information as requested by investors, bond agencies, and servicers for loan purchase. May deliver documentation via various methods including email and designated websites.

Reviews and cures all post purchase deficiencies and responds to all investor post purchase requests to avoid loan repurchase

Tracks and follows up on contacts of requested items until received

Updates System of Record with notes and dates as needed according to service level agreements.

Utilizes resources available to assist in resolving issues and research above and beyond normal avenues

Meets service level agreements daily for all outlined processes

Ensures all departmental processes are performed in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures, including completion of required compliance training
What we are looking for:
-
3+ years of mortgage experience

Solid knowledge and understanding of the life of a loan after funding
-
Solid knowledge and understanding of all warehouse bank and investor guidelines
-
Solid knowledge and understanding of customer service and interpersonal best practices

Demonstrated experience with attention to detail, time management, written and oral communication, multi-tasking, and working in a team atmosphere adhering to tight deadlines
