ASDi is seeking to add a PROJECT ENGINEER to our growing team of structural engineers in Fresno, CA. We are a full-service structural engineering firm dedicated to serving the needs of our clients in the Central Valley and beyond. We specialize in the structural design of new buildings as well as the modernization and retrofit of existing buildings. For over 35 years, ASDi has been providing structural designs across a multitude of building industries and locations, and we draw upon that experience throughout the design process. Job Description and Duties
We are seeking talented engineers who are motivated and passionate about building design. At ASDi you will have the opportunity to play a significant role in the design of noteworthy projects across the state of California, including the future Terry Bradley Education Center for Clovis Unified School District (Clovis South complex). A PROJECT ENGINEER will be involved in:
- Preparation of structural calculations using both hand calculations and computer analysis software
- Preparation of structural drawings using AutoCAD and Revit software
- Sketching of construction details for drafters
- Review of shop drawings and responding to field requests
- Field visits and report writing for projects throughout the state
- Communicate with Contractors and Architects regarding design and construction activity
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position will meet the qualifications listed below, however all applicants will be considered.
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering required
- Ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in Structural Engineering
- Licensed in State of California as a PE is required
- Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, and RAM Structural System is a plus
- Experience with DSA is a plus
- Practical detailing and problem solving skills
- Ability to work as part of a team environment
