Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer injections and medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
- Update patient medical records with accurate and current information
- Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatments, and medications
- Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals for patients
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards
Requirements:
- Certification or certificate eligible as a Medical Assistant or LPN
- Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic health records
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to provide compassionate patient care
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is required in this position (we pay)
- Knowledge of office procedures is a plus
Skills:
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Ability to accurately record and interpret vital signs
- Proficiency in administering injections and medications
- Knowledge of basic laboratory tests and specimen collection techniques
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on medical conditions and treatments
