NEUMAN & ESSER-NEAC Compressor Service USA-Katy, TX is hiring for Quality Control Technician/ Repair Shop Support to ensure the quality of new compressor components, provide technical and hands-on support to repair coordinator and interface with logistics, procurement, vendors and manufacturing support team.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out the Quality Inspection of vendor supplied compressor parts to ensure the quality. Document accordingly.
- Maintain and be responsible for Documentation System of inspection protocols. Implement improvements if necessary or required.
- Maintain and be responsible for condition and calibration of high precision tools. Be responsible for the Inspection Area to keep all inspection tools intact and organized. Maintain tools inventory.
- Work close together with Logistics group and Expeditor to maintain the on-time delivery of parts.
- Report NCR (Non Conformity of Product) in case of Deviation and handle the NCR Process together with Manufacturing Support team.
- Develop basic knowledge of reciprocating compressors.
- Provide hands-on support to the Repair Coordinator in Repair Projects
- In general, this position does not require any travelling (occasionally travelling can be requested upon request)
Qualifications:

Experience and Expectations:
- Be able to read detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Be willing to learn and able to adapt to changing conditions.
- Prior experience working with and directing machine and service shop activities is a big plus.
- Experience in assembling, overhauling and operating mechanical equipment is a big advantage e.g. engines, compressors, gearboxes etc.
- NDT (nondestructive test) capabilities are beneficial.
- Refinery and/or petrochemical experience is helpful.Technical knowledge and experience with reciprocating compressor is advantageous.
- Be a “Problem Solver”.
- Must be highly organized, able to multi-task and manage projects. Self-starter.
- Must have humility, know your own limitations, and not hesitate to ask for assistance when needed.
- Strive for continuous improvement in all activities.
Required Hardware/Software Experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft CRM Dynamics and SharePoint is helpful.
