Loan Officer Assistant
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Loan Officer Assistant to join our team. As a Loan Officer Assistant, you will perform vital functions that allow the Loan Originator to focus on customer relationships and customer retention. Your expertise in building relationships, customer service, product knowledge and underwriting guidelines will be essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a primary point of contact for the borrower on behalf of the lending team as well as for parties engaged in a loan application.
- Assist in appointment setting with prospective and new applicants.
- Analyze customer’s credit and financial scenario and determining appropriate loan product(s) under the guidance and review of the loan officer.
- Run automated underwriting systems (AUS) and prepares the loan fees for disclosure.
- Pull and prep web applications and other duties, including updating credit reports and AUS findings.
- Provide support in the collection and preparation of submitting loan application with supporting documentation.
- Monitor key dates related to loan transactions and respond accordingly.
- Maintain customer and referral partner contact to ensure follow-up of loan application and answer basic customer inquiries while providing quality customer service.
- Manage assigned database, tracking active loan(s) and entering data.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA and VA guidelines
- Proficiency with DU and LP, FHA Connection and VA Portal
- Adept at calculating income from salaried and self-employed borrowers
- Knowledge of TRID and compliance
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills – ability to build rapport quickly
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Minimum of 2 years of experience mortgage or banking industry experience
- Strong working knowledge of Encompass

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
