Job Description
The Desktop Support Analyst is the first point of contact for customers with an IT hardware problem, issue, question, or request. The primary duties include:
Interacts with users to understand and document all IT issues
Install and maintain computer systems and peripherals following established standards and guidelines
Perform other administrative duties including asset tracking and management, IT inventory maintenance, purchase requisitions, shipping, and general support to other team members
Assist with the planning and implementation of IT projects across multiple sites
Be the primary IT point of contact for a critical manufacturing site
Knowledgeable of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and network fundamentals.
Technical understanding and knowledge of Windows operating systems and Google applications, specifically Windows 7 and Windows 10
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others
Demonstrated customer service and support skills

Job Responsibilities
- Be first level of IT support for business users across multiple sites.
- Perform analysis, diagnostics, and resolution of user computer problems and implement corrective solutions.
- Install, configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software.
- Open service requests and manage warranty repairs with hardware vendors.
- Manage new user request processes including configuration, setup, inventory, and testing of new user computers prior to delivery.
- Retire old IT assets including record keeping and appropriate asset disposal
- Follow-up on equipment delivered to other sites and assure equipment was received and set up properly.
- Monthly server patching
- Purchase request ordering
- Intranet maintenance and changes
- Creation and maintenance of AODocs libraries
- Contacting vendors for different licensed software issues
- Leading or working on random projects (usually from ALAM)
- Creation and removal of user accounts and meeting weekly with recruiting to make sure we are on the same page with new hire dates
- Troubleshooting the random tasks and questions I get daily.
Requirements Education
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or related certifications with 3+ year(s) of experience in a similar role
- Knowledgeable of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and network fundamentals.
- Technical understanding and knowledge of Windows operating systems and Google applications, specifically Windows 7 and Windows 10
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others

Work Conditions
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects
- Participation in training sessions, presentations, and meetings
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- May require work in manufacturing facilities wearing protective clothing
