Job Function:
You will interact with all fulfillment employees, and external partners and vendors to ensure the smooth and efficient shipment of customer orders. Reviewing packages to ensure all quality standards are met.
Key Objectives:
- Lead the Warehouse Shipping team which includes but is not limited to; managing work schedules; input on performance evaluations; and participate in the hiring process for positions within the Fulfillment team.
- Work necessary areas as staff is on PTO, absences or unusual volumes in specific areas.
- Provide suggestions and feedback for warehouse processes to optimize the company’s Fulfillment Services.
- Conduct daily team meeting/huddle to set expectations for the day/week/month.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Train and manage warehouse shipping team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
· Oversee warehouse shipping team to meet the demands of the fulfillment center, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
· Meet regularly with warehouse manager to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity.
· Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, cross training; monitoring, and review job results
· Review and share employee metrics
· Monitor warehouse shipping metrics
· Research and recommend new processes and procedures in the warehouse to create the best internal and external customer service possible.
· Manage all aspects of proper inventory tracking; both digitally and physically.
· Create and maintain a safe, clean, and compliant warehouse environment for all employees and guests.
· Manage all aspects of outbound freight, order preparation and accuracy, and shipping orders.
- Give feedback to other team members and company leaders on anything which can help improve the business.
· Develops, tests and trains for new company initiatives
· Flexibility to work extended hours, during busy season if needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s) Needed
· Education: High School diploma
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Proficiency in inventory management software, ERP software, all Microsoft Office programs, and UPS Worldship.
- The ability to multi-task while maintaining focus on the priority issue at all times.
- Experience in leading a team of multiple people (up to 18), including hiring. Preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment and lift up to 40 lbs if needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
