About the Role
The Commercial Insurance Account Executive will assist Commercial Producers in gaining new clients and maintaining current client insurance policies. This position will engage with existing clients and prospects to ensure appropriate coverage for their needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist management and producers in coordinating all aspects of client activities.
- Accompany producers and management with client-facing renewal and new business proposals.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating and responding to clients and carriers in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain vendor relationships.
- Assist in planning recommendations for the client.
- Enter and update client information into the management system.
- Schedule and participate in mid-year and renewal meetings, with or without a producer, as necessary.
- Communicate with carriers as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of policy forms and endorsements with the ability to explain detailed coverage provisions to clients.
- Service and maintain all aspects of a variety of commercial accounts.
- Responsible for renewal marketing of existing accounts.
- First point of contact for all service requests.
- Assist with policy endorsements, policy issuance, renewal binders, insurance summaries, insurance certificates, auto ID cards, data entry, accord applications/submissions, online quoting, and renewal marketing as needed.
- Must be able to travel to meet client service needs when necessary.
Skills and Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of insurance products and usages.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and comprehend commercial lines of insurance.
- Ability to advise and consult with clients regarding insurance coverage needs and identify and address any coverage gaps with producer and/or client.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to speak professionally and comfortably in front of others.
- Strong technical and math skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed objectives through effective account management.
- Ability to service clients effectively through problem-solving, appropriate confidentiality, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tactfulness.
Employment Experience Qualification
Minimum
- 2 years of experience working with commercial accounts – both new and renewal accounts.
- Proven success rate at levels above sales quota.
Preferred
- 4+ years of experience working with commercial accounts – both new and renewal accounts.
- Experience with InsuredMine and Hawksoft.
Specialize Knowledge or Licensure Required
- Licensed P&C Agent.
- CIC/CISR or equivalent designation preferred.
- Ability to commute to the office.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Computer work with repetitive motions.
- May be requested to work more than 40 hours per week.
- Reliable transportation to travel to meet with clients.
