Become a role model to young learners and promote a life-long love of learning by taking advantage of the teachable moments that happen all day long. This assistant teacher has the opportunity to work with our youngest learners (6 weeks - 1.5 years).

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing the daily program under the direction of the lead teachers.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining the safe, loving and nurturing environment
- Help observe and record the development of children in the classroom
- Maintain classroom cleanliness
- Treat all children with dignity and respect and allow for individual differences.
- Deal with the children’s individual needs and assist other staff when needed
- Maintain a professional attitude at all times
- Show initiative in the improvement of early childhood education, the program, and the curriculum
- Supervise, interact, and engage with the children in a variety of developmentally appropriate, play-based activities
- Maintain an open, warm, and professional relationship with all families
Job Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Commit to one year contract
- Display warm and friendly personality; Be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others
- Relates well to children
- Maintain professional attitude toward the children, families, and co-workers at all times; Must be able to communicate professionally and openly
- Ability to assist the lead teachers with providing a warm and nurturing environment in which the child can grow physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually

Pay: $16 - $18 per hour
Schedule:
- flexibility to work an 8 - 8.5 hour shift between 7:30am and 6pm
- Monday to Friday
