A nationally recognized large multi franchise automotive dealership group is looking for an experienced Tag & Title Clerk.
This person will be provide accounting and clerical support by accurately preparing and maintaining documents and records. This position will be responsible for filing in an organized and timely manner and entering data of financial transactions. This is a tremendous opportunity we have to offer. The ideal candidate at least one year of experience in a similar position. Candidates must have a pleasant and helpful personality, strong administrative and organizational skills, good computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Previous automotive dealership experience a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Process all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled
- Prepare tax and title documents
- Submit all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles
- Maintain a system to verify out-of-state titles
- Compile and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work
- Stay abreast of title regulations. Attend seminars held by local licensing bureaus and any available
- Provide assistance and support to accounting personnel
- Provides clerical support, such as typing, filing, copying, data entry, and record keeping
- Manages all required paperwork and records and prepares documentation (forms, reports, etc.) when needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- One year of relevant experience, Preferred
- CDK experience, Preferred
- High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferred
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Highly professional and dependable
- Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
- Excellent telephone skills
- Strong computer, typing, and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite
