The Position at a Glance
If you’re an experienced Audiologist seeking a leadership role who enjoys enhancing the auditory health and well-being of patients and is seeking a friendly, patient-centric clinical setting, we’re looking for you to serve as our next Director of Audiology! The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of audiologists and hearing instrument specialists, implementing best practices, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. Salary and Benefits
Minimum salary: $100,000 per year plus commission and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. An array of benefits with employer contributions are available to regular employees and their eligible dependents, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, a 401k with employer matching, paid time off for vacation, sick leave, and personal business, and paid holidays.
Qualifications
Both of the following requirements must be met by time of appointment:
- Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Licensure in the State of California as an Audiologist.
In addition, the selected candidate must have the following skills and abilities:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Able to adapt, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Excellent mathematical skills.
- Cash handling.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate, communicate and manage well at all levels of an organization.
- Strong customer service skills and tact, initiative, and good judgment when interacting with patients and internal staff.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Detail oriented with strong follow-through on responsibilities.
- Strong clinical background with expertise in diagnostic evaluations, hearing aid fittings, and rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying informed about industry trends.
The Position - Full Responsibilities
80% of the position's workload consists of direct patient care and 20% consists of leadership responsibilities.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and inspire a team of audiologists, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Participate in educational initiatives to raise awareness about hearing health and audiological services.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.
- Collaborate with other department heads to ensure seamless integration of audiology services within the organization.
Clinical Oversight:
- Ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care through the implementation of best practices and adherence to industry standards.
- Oversee the development and implementation of treatment plans, audiometric testing, and hearing aid fittings.
- Stay abreast of advancements in audiology technology and practices, integrating them into our services when appropriate.
Quality Assurance:
- Establish and maintain quality assurance protocols to uphold the highest standards of care.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Strategic Planning:
- Work closely with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic plans for the audiology department.
- Identify opportunities for growth and expansion of audiological services within the organization.
Community Engagement:
- Represent the organization in the community, building relationships with healthcare providers, community groups, and potential partners.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
