Job Description: Regional Accounts Manager
Reports to: Director of DSD Sales, and National Accounts Manager
Job Summary:
Manage all Fresh Key Accounts*, supported by weekly and monthly analysis and projections for coordination of successful production planning. Develop presentations for Sales meetings. Assist with and/or handle special projects as needed.
Lead field selling efforts and excellence in execution at the regional store level and local foodservice locations, coordinating with client district and regional managers for proper service and execution. Manage pricing, new products, promotional calendar, and sales reporting for all key customers. Participate in tradeshows, customer events and other functions as needed. Follow up with the Sales team to ensure full execution and track / trend performance.
· Maintain and Grow Sales Volume
- Maintain sales call appointment log with notes and execution plan
- Develop business building strategy with all key contacts
- Sell for incremental space, improved store level location, promotions, and new merchandising equipment
- Develop consistent sales call calendar and include other Managers / Supervisors, when necessary, on the appointments
· Administrative Management of Key Accounts
- Submit weekly recap of sales calls, results, and all follow-up activity
- Physical presence in sales office to keep communication channels open to Distributors, District Managers / Route Supervisors and Sales Representatives
- Attend sales meetings to recap customer activity and answer questions
- Track sales and stales for all customer responsibility
· Retailer / Foodservice Operator Leadership
- Become the subject matter expert (SME) for all regional key accounts
- Educate the Distributors, District Managers / Route Supervisors, and Sales Representatives on all activity associated with key accounts
Responsibilities:
o Manage sales projections and work as a liaison with Fulfillment Coordinator / Operations to assist in appropriate production planning
o Analyze sales, returns and other data to support the Sales department
o Support Scan Based Trading initiatives – analysis, orders, etc.
o Prepare spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations for sales meetings
o Prepare studies and reports for management and to support current initiatives
o Work with the Sales Team on special projects as needed
o Plan and prioritize workload to ensure efficient use of working time
o Follow all company GMP procedures
o Support without hesitation General Plant Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense initiatives and Good Manufacturing Practices with an understanding that these are absolutes and are Priority #1
o Perform all special requests by Director of Fresh Sales, National Accounts Manager and Executive Vice President & COO
Qualifications:
o Undergraduate degree in food marketing, business or a related field
o 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
o Strong verbal and written communication skills
o Solid analytical skills and a strategic thinking mindset
o Ability to multitask, prioritize and collaborate with various audiences on assignments
o Self-supervising within the guidance and expectation of management
o Must be willing to learn about the bread industry
o Needs to be optimistic, flexible and open to change
o Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
o Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel PowerPoint
o Ability to learn and work in ERP system (currently Baker’s Dozen)

Physical Demands:
Regular use of hands to manipulate office equipment, phones and computer keyboard / mouse. Sitting for extended periods of time, walking, reaching, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds. Extensive visual computer use and document review. Driving for customer meetings and related responsibilities. Organizational, problem solving and analytical skills, ability to multitask, comprehend complex information and analyze data, ability to effectively communicate with others orally and in writing.
Work Conditions:
Work is primarily performed in an office environment, generally free of temperature extremes or hazards, and will require driving to and from client meetings.

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
