SUMMARY

The Medical Assistant (MA) works under the direction of licensed medical providers and provides non-licensed patient care and clerical duties to support a frictionless experience for Apple employees and dependents attending various Apple health initiative events.
We are looking for a total of four Medical Assistants:

Two MAs will be on the opening shift from 7am-3:30pm.

Two MAs will be on the closing shift from 8:30am-4:30pm or 10am-6:30pm.
This is a fixed term opportunity from September 11th through November 21st.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Demonstrates professionalism and courtesy when interacting with patients and co-workers.

Maintains patient confidentiality.

Adheres to policies and protocols of AC Wellness.

Greets patients and performs initial appointment intake.

Is prepared to safely intervene in the event of an adverse reaction or other patient emergency.

Answers questions, and recommends follow-up during Health Promotion events.

Continually works to achieve the highest level of patient satisfaction.

Continually evaluates patient volume and provides intervention to optimize patient flow to minimize wait times.

Anticipates potential problems/obstacles in daily operations and intervenes effectively and escalates to management when indicated.

Maintains the strictest confidentiality.

Provision of influenza and Covid vaccines by intramuscular injections.
-
Responsible for organizing, maintaining supplies and equipment. This includes moving supplies and equipment at various sites on Apple Campuses across Santa Clara Valley.

Ability to drive between different locations, at times multiple sites in one day.

Manages supply inventory and replenishes medical supplies and materials at multiple sites.

Screens patient’s general condition prior to administering vaccines.

Accurately documents in patient records.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 2 years medical assisting experience or a minimum of 160 back office extern hours.

Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of a medical assistant.

Current AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA, OR CCBMA certification required.

Current BLS from AHA for Healthcare providers.

Compliance with AC Wellness Occupational Health Policy, including required immunizations.

Documentation of successful completion of training and observed practice requirements for intramuscular injections (may be completed as part of ACW training).

Documentation of successful completion of training and observed practice requirements for technical supportive services (may be completed as part of ACW training).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to maintain composure under stress.

Strong customer service skills.

Ability to work in a busy environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising accuracy, attention to detail, and courtesy to clients and staff.

Basic keyboarding and computer abilities.

Must have access to a vehicle, a valid driver's license and comply with CA liability insurance.
