Job Summary
As a Community Integration Specialist, you will help improve the lives of adults with developmental disabilities. You will be teaching independent living skills, behavioral regulation, personal hygiene, budgeting skills, or any life skills that need improvement.
You will be working in a 1-to-1 setting in our new innovative community-integration day program. All your ability and responsibility will be fully devoted to an individual you best match with. Also, your work will be done in a community setting. If you enjoy being outside and active, this job will be a great match for you.
As a new non-profit, California Spectrum Care strives to create a hands-on, direct experience for all our employees and clientele. Our managerial team works in the field just like any other employee. Requirements
- Great Communication Skills will be necessary.
- A high level of patience is necessary.
- The ability to be active and on your feet throughout the day
- Be able to lift at least 45 pounds
- Pass a background check
- CA driver license and car Insurance
- No DUIs, misdemeanors, serious traffic offenses, or a history of reckless driving
Preferred
- Previous experience working with developmental disabilities such as Autism, Down Syndrome, Fragile X, Aspergers Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD.
- Previous experience with the following: ABA, BCBA, Adaptive skills, Adaptive skills trainer Aide, Supported living, Supportive employment, Clinical Supervisor, Behavior Technician, Behavioral therapist, ABA, Caregiver, Special education, Spec Ed
Job Type: Full Time or Part Time
Session times: 8:30am - 12:30pm or 1:30pm-5:30pm
Pay: $18/hr - $21/hr
