Our firm has an immediate opening for an experienced full-time Injury Lien Negotiator.
The qualified candidate will be tasked with negotiating and reducing existing medical bills and liens with health providers, private health insurance carriers, statutory liens, Medi-Cal, Medicare, VA, and other governmental entities.

Primary duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Compiling and tabulating all associated client costs, medical bills, and fees.
- Verifying existence of all outstanding liens and costs.
- Communicating with private lien negotiating company in order to finalize disbursement fees.
- Preparing disbursement spreadsheet showing breakdown of attorney’s fees and costs, and client’s medical bills and total recovery.
- Preparing checks for payment of bills.
- Communicating with health insurance providers, private medical providers, hospital/ER/EMS, Medi-Cal, Medicare, Medicaid, and other governmental health care providers in lien negotiation and resolution.
- Communicating with personal injury clients, when necessary, in the course of lien negotiation and resolution.
- Handling a large volume of cases requiring lien reductions and negotiations.
- Negotiation / reduction of liens with providers and third-party payers at the resolution of injured party’s claim.
- Opening and reviewing incoming liens mail/e-mail.
- Faxing, photocopying, scanning, and converting or exporting/importing documents to/from other applications.
- Maintaining electronic and hardcopy files in accordance with the Firm's policies and procedures.
- Performing other duties as assigned by Management and/or Settlement Coordinator.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish (REQUIRED).
- Possess a working knowledge of personal injury lien negotiation.
- Strong working knowledge of industry practices and procedures in lien negotiation and resolution with health insurance providers, private healthcare providers, and hospital/ER/EMS providers, generally.
- Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.
· Critical thinking and problem solving to determine the best course for each client.
- Must be organized and excellent at multi-tasking.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration and client interaction.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using case management software a plus.
- Familiarity with G Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel) and other applications and/or systems.

- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a Personal Injury law firm.

Schedule:
