Overview:
Ashland Partners & Company LLP is looking for highly motivated individuals for a full-time position in our office located in beautiful Southern Oregon. The responsibilities of this position is responsible for service and support needs for our internal employees. The Jr Systems Administrator maintains, upgrades, and manages our software, hardware, and networks. This relates to all technology, to include, workstations, servers, printers, networks, audio/video equipment, and vendor specific hardware and software.
Essential Functions:
· Set up accounts and workstations for all employees.
· Providing in person and remote IT support for end user hardware such as laptops, computer audio connections, VoIP telephony, webcams, other common peripherals.
· On-call support for our staff, this may include after-hours and weekends.
· Supporting of core business applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Windows
· Support of virtual environments built on Horizon and accessed via VPN.
· Support of Microsoft Server technologies including but not limited to Windows Server, Microsoft O365, SQL, and SharePoint.
· Assistance with System, Network and Security Admin level operations and support. Including but not limited to data backup, server maintenance, hardware installation, WAN/LAN connectivity.
· Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
· Install and configure software and hardware.
· Manage network servers and technology tools.
· Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
· Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
· Troubleshoot issues and outages.
· Researching new IT services/vendors with management as needed for cost containment.
· Directing third-party vendors who may be involved in diagnosing and correcting system related issues and assisting with solutions.
· Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities.
· Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
· Communicate to staff keeping them informed of progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages in a clear and concise manner.
· Effectively manage individual workflow, and work with others as applicable, to accommodate various fluctuating priorities.

Required Education and Experience:
· Associate’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field.
· Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
· Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management.
· Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
· Ability to create scripts in Powershell or other language.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field.
- 4+ years in a similar position.
- Any related certifications, such as Microsoft MCSA, or MCSE

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role uses office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Professional dress code is also required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. Mental Demands:
This position may have to manage a number of requests and situations at one time. Stress may be caused by the need to complete tasks within tight deadlines.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. with additional time as needed to meet deadlines and business requirements. This position regularly requires long hours or evening/weekend work.
Travel:
Travel is primarily local during the business day. You will need to have your own, consistent method of travel.
