The Sales Representative is responsible for managing sales for instructional materials, programs, and services to public schools/districts, private/independent, and parochial schools, colleges, and universities within the territory of Sales Representative's choice and desired vicinity. This individual will create and execute strategic business territory plans that will promote sales according to company growth expectations. This position will require travel within the territory of Sales Representative's choice and desired vicinity.
Responsibilities of Field Sales Representative
- Attaining and surpassing sales goals, with the proven ability to develop and build customer relationships to maintain and expand market penetration.
- Creating and executing marketing and strategic territory plans, with excellent organization and follow through including forecasting acumen.
- Conducting successful sales presentations and conducting and coordinating in-service presentations.
- Understanding how the business makes money and demonstrating an ability to negotiate and manage resources based on corporate policy and profitability.
- Using appropriate written and verbal communication skills internally and externally to facilitate a desired outcome.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities.

What we're looking for in an ideal candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, EdTech, or related field.
- 2+ years of sales experience required, with preference for sales of EdTech products or Educational Services. In lieu of sales experience, Educators or Administrators must have at least 5 years of experience in K-12.
- A deep understanding of the use of technology in an educational instructional environment as it relates to educational infrastructures, such as platforms and curricula.
- Microsoft software skills: Outlook and Power Point (basic), Word and Excel (intermediate). Sales Representatives must be highly organized, self-starters, with the desire to learn and collaborate. They have the ability to understand the ever-changing needs of educators and students.
- Ideal candidates will have a strong desire to use their educational backgrounds to drive sales through creative and innovative solutions.
