We are looking for an Industrial Technician with mechanical and electrical aptitude to support the Mechanical Team and others in various duties. 85% overnight travel.
The Industrial Technician role plays is crucial in ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Install, assemble, and disassemble mechanical equipment.
· Conduct routine maintenance tasks to ensure proper functionality.
· Inspect and troubleshoot machinery for defects and malfunctions.
· Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with precision.
· Replace faulty components and parts.
· Perform preventive maintenance to avoid unexpected breakdowns.
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
· Work closely with engineers and other technicians to address complex issues.
· Conduct tests and calibrations to ensure accurate performance.
· Make adjustments to optimize equipment functionality.
Skills & Requirements:
· Familiarity with and ability to read blueprints, and manuals.
· Familiarity with and ability to use electrical equipment and hand tools.
· Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
· Solid electrical aptitude and mathematical abilities appropriate to the position.
- Adhere to all quality and safety rules.
- Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and working in various conditions.
- May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.
· Experience in operating forklifts and other powered equipment.
Required Experience and/or Education:
· Education: High school diploma or GED.
· Certification: Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical technology.
· Years of Experience: 2 -4 years in relevant experience, preferably in an industrial manufacturing setting.
