PeopleOne Health Registered Dietitian (RD) and Health Coach Job Purpose
The Registered Dietitian and Health Coach engages with members in-person, virtually or telephonically to offer medical nutrition therapy as well as coaching services utilizing motivational interviewing skills for behavioral lifestyle change. This position will serve the PeopleOne Health officies and will require travel within a 1-hour geographic radius. This is a full-time position.
PeopleOne Health Registered Dietitian Description of Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct nutrition assessments for members to identify specific nutritional needs and coordinate nutrition care, including diet modification, meal planning and healthy lifestyle counseling.
- Provide nutrition therapy based on evidence based standards of practice, taking into consideration the member’s individual’s needs, including medical history, nutrient requirements, knowledge and abilities, and economic and social situations.
- Counsel individuals and groups on overall good nutrition, healthy eating habits and nutrition management of diseases to improve their quality of life.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate the nutritional care of members.
- Document all nutrition assessments, interventions and plans in EMR according to facility protocol.
- Accountable as nutrition liaison/expert to assist on committees and utilize expertise as needed for company initiatives.
- As required, demonstrate professional writing skills adaptable to all health literacy levels in preparing materials, presentations and other communications.

- Implements Population Health Management Strategies:
- Maintains and follows Population Health Management Strategy protocols, including focus on disease and condition management, using judgment and discernment.
- Provides lifestyle coaching and supports individuals by providing information, encouraging progress, setting goals and working to address challenges or barriers that arise.
PeopleOne Health Registered Dietitian Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a Board-approved, regionally accredited college or university, with a major course of study in: human nutrition, food nutrition, dietetics, or food system management.
- Completion of an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)-approved program.
- State Licensure in Florida
- Completion of health coaching course or experience in health coaching for behavior change, preferred but not required.

Special Requirements
- May be required to work outside of “regular” working hours to accommodate client schedules.
- May be required to travel to sites within a geographical region or to various locations within a corporately defined area.
- Position will be a blend of home and office-based work.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
