Job Summary:
Wyze is seeking a talented and dedicated Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. As a Data Engineer at Wyze, you will play a critical role in designing, building and maintaining our data warehouse to support various teams' data needs. You will be responsible for data warehouse development and maintenance, data ETLs, and collaborate with various teams to support their data needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Pipelines - Create new pipelines and improve/maintain existing pipelines using Python and SQL
- Data Warehouse Management - Data access management, data warehouse usage monitoring, data documentations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration - Interface with internal customers to understand their data needs, providing both consultative and data engineering solutions for consumers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other quantitative disciplines such as Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or Mathematics.
- 3+ years experience in data engineering and data warehousing.
- Strong SQL and Python
- Experience with cloud-based data warehouses / lake houses eg. Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery etc. (Snowflake preferred).
- Experience with cloud platforms eg. AWS, GCP, Azure. (AWS preferred)
- Experience with data engineering workflow tools eg. DBT, Airflow.
- Experience with other cloud services eg. Kubernetes, Kinesis, SQS, Lambda
- Experience of communicating complex data problems with business leaderships
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong quantitative and modeling skills
- Experience in Machine Learning based project
- Experience of visualization tools eg. Tableau
