Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented MDS Coordinator to join our team. The MDS Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely completion of resident assessments in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments for all residents
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure accurate documentation of resident care
- Review medical records to verify appropriate coding and documentation
- Ensure compliance with Medicare and Medicaid regulations
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Cerner, Athenahealth, and eClinicalWorks
- Apply knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and coding practices
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hospital procedures and protocols
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office or hospital setting preferred
- Proficiency in medical documentation and coding
- Familiarity with Medicare regulations
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems like Cerner, Athenahealth, and eClinicalWorks
- Understanding of ICU procedures and patient care practices
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
