Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with autism, seniors, or individuals with disabilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nurse or supervisor
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Help with light housekeeping tasks and maintain a clean and safe environment
- Assist with transportation to medical appointments or other outings
Skills:
- Experience working with individuals with autism or disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of senior care and understanding of the aging process
- Ability to provide direct patient care and follow care plans
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Basic knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond in emergency situations
- Physical ability to lift and transfer clients safely
