The Town of Branchville is in search of a permanent full-time worker in the Utility/Maintenance department. Responsibilities would include the installation, maintenance, and monthly reading of water meters, maintenance and repair of waterlines belonging to the Town, and upkeep of town sewer mains, lift stations and pumps. This job is also responsible for the performance and recordkeeping of quarterly hydrant flushing and valve exercising. Backhoe experience is preferred, previous maintenance or utility department experience is also preferred. Some basic maintenance of town buildings as well as groundskeeping is part of this job's requirements. Must have a valid Driver's License and be capable of passing a criminal background check. This position must be capable of working with the public, as coordination with new and current water customers occurs frequently, as well as interaction with various contractors, regulatory agencies and public officials.
