Residential Elevators LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Director to oversee and drive our quality management initiatives.
Job Description:
The Quality Director plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our elevator systems meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations. This position reports directly to the CEO and requires a strategic thinker with a keen attention to detail and a passion for continuous improvement.
Essential Functions
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Establish quality assurance processes and procedures to monitor as well as evaluate product quality throughout the manufacturing and installation process. Implement robust quality control measures to identify and address defects or non-conformities promptly.
- Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality standards for materials and components.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
- Lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement in product quality, processes, and systems.
- Implement best practices and methodologies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify potential risks to product quality or customer satisfaction and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Proactively address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
- Provide leadership and guidance to quality assurance and production teams.
- Develop training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge related to quality management and process improvement.
- Champion a customer-centric approach to quality management, while monitoring customer feedback and satisfaction levels to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Keep current with relevant regulations, standards, and industry trends related to elevator manufacturing and installation. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards at all times.
- Lead the organization to develop and implement ISO standards and possible accreditation.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality management, preferably in the manufacturing or construction industry.
- Proven track record of implementing and managing quality management systems.
- Knowledge and experience in implementing ISO standards and accreditation.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Black Belt) is a plus.
