Behavioral Health Technician

Your Position
As a Behavorial Health Technician (BHT), you will observe the behavior of clients, monitor clients throughout non-clinical hours, and report to the clinical staff and management. You will also participate in the day-day operations of the facility. The main priority of BHT staff is to make sure that clients remain safe at all time.
What You Will be Doing…
- Observe and report client issues outside of clinical hours
- Complete a written report following each shift
- Observe the distribution of medications to clients
- Navigate through company HER/EMR for intakes and notes
- Supervise UA and BAC
- Participate in client and property searches
- Transport clients to and from clinical appointments
- Mange client safety
- Teach life skills to clients and how to interact with others
- Attend group meetings
- Help clients with home duties, including cooking, cleaning, and other responsibilities
- Establish healthy relationships with clients

Your Qualifications…
- High school Diploma preferred
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of the behavioral health treatment industry preferred
Working Conditions…
- Full-time, 40+ hours per week OR Part-Time up to 30 hours per week
- 1st, 2nd, and overnight shifts available
- Shifts may fall on weekends and/or holidays
- Must be available by phone after hours
- Must be available to communicate with clients during times of stress
- Must be able to separate personal issues with work issues to ensure healthy relationships with clients
