Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Smoke Shop Employee to join our team. As a Smoke Shop Employee, you will be responsible for assisting customers, providing product information, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all patrons. Your extensive knowledge of smoking accessories, tobacco products, and related merchandise will be vital in assisting customers with their purchases and answering any questions they may have. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of smoking culture and products, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
Customer Assistance: Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, provide product recommendations, and assist with any inquiries or concerns regarding smoking accessories, tobacco products, and related merchandise.
Sales and Product Knowledge: Possess a comprehensive understanding of the store's inventory, including tobacco products, pipes, vaporizers, hookahs, rolling papers, and other smoking accessories. Educate customers on different product options, features, and benefits.
Cash Handling: Process customer transactions accurately, handle cash, and operate the cash register efficiently. Maintain a balanced cash drawer at all times.
Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, organizing, and restocking merchandise, ensuring products are neatly displayed and properly priced. Monitor inventory levels and promptly inform the management team of any stock shortages or replenishment needs.
Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean, organized, and presentable at all times. Perform regular cleaning tasks, including sweeping, dusting, and maintaining the cleanliness of display cases and product shelves.
Compliance: Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations governing the sale of tobacco products and smoking accessories. Verify customer age and identification to ensure compliance with age restrictions.
Customer Service Excellence: Deliver exceptional customer service by actively engaging with customers, addressing their needs, resolving any issues or complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Product Promotion: Assist with in-store promotions, special events, and product demonstrations to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
Stay Informed: Stay up to date with the latest trends, product releases, and industry developments related to smoking accessories, tobacco products, and related merchandise.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge and familiarity with smoking accessories, tobacco products, and related merchandise.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in cash handling.
- Understanding of and commitment to complying with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Must be of legal age to sell tobacco products in your jurisdiction.
