The Unarmed/Armed Security Patrol Officer is a Community Safety position that allows the Officer to experience a variety of assignments, responsibilities, and functions. The Patrol Officer will provide a visible deterrent to criminal and/or suspicious-related activities. In addition, they will act as a first-responder to incidents that occur on the property including medical, criminal, traffic, animal control, or various types of emergencies. The Patrol Officer will also enforce all rules and regulations of the Spanish Trail Master Association and Sub-Associations.

WE HAVE 1 FULL-TIME OVERNIGHT SHIFT POSITION FOR AN UNARMED OR ARMED PATROL OFFICER. THE STARTING PAY FOR UNARMED PATROL OFFICERS IS CURRENTLY $17/HR AND $18/HR. FOR ARMED PATROL OFFICERS (WITH DOCUMENTED FIREARM TRAINING).

WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY OFF, FRIDAY-TUESDAY 9:00 P.M. TO 5:30 A.M.
IF YOU ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS EXACT SHIFT, DO NOT APPLY. ***YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO TRAIN 1:00 P.M TO 9:30 P.M. AND 6:00 A.M. TO 2:30 P.M. IF YOU CANNOT TRAIN DURING BOTH OF THE TIMES, DO NOT APPLY. AFTER YOUR TRAINING PERIOD, YOU WILL START THE SCHEDULE THAT YOU WERE HIRED FOR.
UNLIKE MANY SECURITY COMPANIES THAT CHANGE YOUR SCHEDULE WEEKLY OR HAVE YOU AT MULTIPLE LOCATIONS, WE PROVIDE A SET SCHEDULE AFTER TRAINING AND OUR PROPERTY IS THE ONLY LOCATION YOU WILL WORK. WE HIRE BASED ON COMPANY NEEDS, NOT PERSONAL NEEDS. WE ARE NOT A CONTRACT SECURITY COMPANY.
Primary Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Patrol property in a vehicle
· Effect arrests when appropriate
· Prepare incident reports
· Issue citations and warnings when appropriate
· Answer incoming phone calls to the Main Gate
· Operate the dispatch module and alarm monitoring system
· Operate the dispatch radio and effectively communicate with other officers
· Monitor video surveillance system
· Greet all residents, guests, and vendors entering through the community gates
· Ensure that all vehicles entering through the resident lane have an active transponder
· Accurately enter information into the access control software
Position Qualifications and Skills
· Must have documented/verifiable firearm training for the Armed Officer position.
· Minimum of 23 years of age and be a resident of Nevada
· Possess a valid State of Nevada driver license
Ø Maximum of 1 moving violation in the last 3 years in combination with 1 at-fault accident
Ø Maximum of 2 moving violations in the last 3 years with no at-fault violations
Ø Maximum of 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years with no moving violations
Ø No speeding citations of 80 mph or more
Ø Must be licensed for at least 3 years
· Required to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screening
· Proficiency in oral and written English language communication
· Possess basic computer skills such as Word and Excel software programs
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Ability to complete an in-house training program and a 90-day introductory period
· Possess your own weapon (NO COMPACT MODELS), minimum of 3 magazines, minimum Level 2 holster for the weapon, and belt keepers – weapon must be approved by the Community Safety Director
· Prior firearms training is required; in addition, you will be required to successfully complete the in-house firearm course within 90 days of your first scheduled shift
