Full-Charge Bookkeeper
Our client is seeking a very skilled and detail-oriented Full-Charge Bookkeeper to join their finance team. The team runs similarly to a Business Management/CPA firm. There are approximately 29 liquid bank accounts, 20 entities and 12 of them are pretty active.
The ideal candidate will need to thrive in a fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring the accuracy of the financial records. As a Full-Charge Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the organization and assist in the financial decision-making processes.
This is a Temp-Perm Opportunity that includes a 30-day contract period to gauge fit for both the client and candidate.
Daily Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all cash activities.
- Monitor cash movement in bank accounts and make necessary journal entries.
- Review all invoices received for accuracy, make necessary queries/adjustments, and follow up with vendors as needed.
- Prepare Excel sheets for invoices as needed – such as all credit cards, expense reports, property maintenance.
- Code, Input, and issue checks & wires for all invoices/payment requests received (Some CC payments online).
- Record journal entries for all cash activity – Disbursements and Receipts.
- Other weekly, monthly, and annual duties will be introduced as the role progresses
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 4-5 years experience as a Bookkeeper within a CPA or Business Management Firm.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Ability to work with multiple liquid accounts and multiple entities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Have a full understanding of how the 1099’s work.
- Past experience working with insurance companies and policies to cover assets.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to pick up new skills quickly and efficiently.
- Prior experience managing payroll processes via ADP.
- High ethical standards and integrity.
