We are currently seeking a Senior Engineering Manager in Seymour, CT.
As a (an) Senior Engineering Manager your day-to-day duties will consist of and may not be limited to:
Responsibilities:

- Able to work directly with customer’s engineering group to improve designs and enhance processes.
- Manage the document control department to provide timely internal and external projects on time.
- Acquire basic working knowledge of company services to assist staff with various functions.
- Will need knowledge of all SMT equipment with experience programming printers, SPI, pick and place, reflow oven and AOI.
- Ability to interpret 2D x-ray images as well as 5DX x-ray images. (programming is a plus).
- AutoCAD or Solid works experience/knowledge.
- Experience creating and debugging oven reflow profiles. Understanding the temperatures in both Fahrenheit & Celsius.
- Technical understanding of the functions of machinery both mechanically, electrically and software with the ability to troubleshoot.
- Selective and Wave solder experience which includes programming and technical support.
- Able to interpret assembly and fab drawings and the requirement within.
- Experience writing pre and post build DFM reports.
- Defect review/root cause analysis with resolution.
- Ability to work with other Engineers / and all floor Personnel.
- Experience with Stencil Design using Gerbers, CAD and any other design tools.
- Experience with Rework processes. Hot Air, BGA repair, Wash/PCA cleaning and routine solder iron rework.
- Knowledge of label creation programming and understanding of bar-codes.
- Class 1 3 IPC and J-STD training.
- Assists the Engineering & Technology Leader in researching industry trends, establishes technology roadmap to ensure and maintain a competitive advantage in the markets we serve with leading edge equipment and capabilities
- Ongoing assessment and reporting of internal capabilities vs market requirements in support of ability to reliably meet existing and future customer requirements
- Monitors and identifies impact and mitigations of disruptive technologies on the business
- The leadership team is consistently informed on the latest EMS technology trends and market requirements in support of strategic planning process. Primary focus on equipment and technical staff investments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or other engineering discipline or equivalent experience and education
- 10 year’s experience in electronic manufacturing services and minimum 5 years working with new product introductions
- SMT Manufacturing or EMS experience required
- Extensive knowledge of all PCBA processes, high level assemblies and box build
- Client/Customer facing experience required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and suppliers
- Lean/Six Sigma experience required, Black Belt certification preferred
- Ability to lead change and experience with leading change; transformation experience required
- Ability to lead and experience with managing with integrity, coaching, mentoring and developing staff
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project
- Experience with PCB design and CAD tools; Valor, Cadence, Cam 350, Autocad, Solidworks, etc.
- Ability to lead and manage projects
- Understanding of business finance required
- Experience in a regulated industry such as aerospace, defense or medical device
- Associates and/or B.A., B.S., Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
- Prior on-the-job experience of at least 5 plus years in same or similar industry.
- Demonstrated positive Customer Service demeanor.
- Superior written and oral communication skills.
- Strong technical background with the understanding of circuit card and box build assemblies.
