Magna Servicing, Inc. (“MS”) provides servicing and tracking services for life insurance policies, focusing on investors in the life settlement industry. MS currently services more than 3000 insurance policies.
MS offers a bespoke suite of services to fit the unique structure of each client, including payment of premiums, optimization of premiums, verification of coverage and tracking of insureds. MS is owned by Vida Capital, Inc. a multi-billion-dollar alternative asset management firm specializing in insurance-linked strategies, with a predominant focus on life settlements.
This position performs a variety of policy servicing duties such as requesting and following up on insurance information, calling and correspondence with insurance companies, doctors’ offices, and with insured’s. This position will relay and resolve routine telephone inquiries, perform data entry, document notes as well as other forms of document management and insured tracking.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of and follow HIPAA requirements
- Upload and document incoming documents
- Request insurance information from insurance companies.
- Contact insureds and doctors for updates
- Work with third-parties to order and obtain medical records/life expectancies
- Search for insureds using multiple sources on a time required basis
- Locate deaths, process claim forms and submit to carrier
- Data entry on every call made or received
- Assist in answering other analysts calls
- Call to verify premiums received and applied to policy
- Process any owner/beneficiary changes on policies
- Process DPW’s, Conversions, LTD’s
- Process Annual Statements and written/verbal VOC’s
- Verify all information received for accuracy
- Process incoming mail and distribute to departments
- Attention to detail, follow-up and organization
- Records maintenance, data input skills
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience related to life insurance policy knowledge preferred
- Computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe are required
- Good communication and correspondence skills (written and verbal)
- Accuracy and attention to detail is a priority
- Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information
- Ability to identify discrepancies and problem solve
Other Information:
This role is full-time in our Waco office. Starting hourly rate for this position is $18/hr. In addition Magna Servicing offers health insurance including vision and dental, 401k options with employer contributions and generous PTO.
